Exsqueeze me?! Style Inspired by The Mindy Project

Anyone who watches The Mindy Project knows heroine Mindy Lahiri takes her job and wardrobe seriously, but doesn’t take herself too seriously.  She peppers us with tons of tounge-in-cheek jokes every episode!

Lucky for us, The Mindy Project starts up again April 12th, and what better way to celebrate than with some Mindy Lahiri style inspiration?

Part of my professional identity is dressing in a way that is appealing only to women.  – Dr. Mindy Lahiri, The Mindy Project

Okay, so maybe that’s not my motto, but I’ve gotta admit, Mindy’s got great style!

Replicate her style with these power statement Emma Drop Earrings from BaubleBar.  They are bold and colorful, and scream Dr. Lahiri.

This dress from Eliza J is colorful and feminine, just what we’ve come to expect to see under Dr. Lahiri’s lab coat.

In the show Mindy seems to have an endless collection of Chanel bags.  If you’re looking for something a little bit more reasonably priced, try this Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody, which comes in lots of colors so you can build a Mindy-inspired collection with these beauties.

And just in case anyone forgets that you’re so fancy, this ABD Miss Fancy Pants Coffee Mug will make sure everyone gets the memo.

If you watch the show, you’ll recognize these BedHead Classic PJs.  These PJs are soft, stretchy, and slim-fitting (read: more flattering fit than traditional PJs).  These are perfect for spring because they are made of a cotton knit.

Curl up and read these hilarious books by Mindy Kaling — Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) and Why Not Me?  Each book is a collection of tongue-in-cheek observational essays, as colorful and funny as we’ve come to expect from the real Mindy.  It’s also inspiring to read about her strong work ethic and achieving success in Hollywood as a writer, producer, director, and actress.

What is your Mindy style?

Cheers!
