February’s box is about giving your lips some love — in this case with a new hue! I love my samples from this month’s Birchbox, so I’ll talk about all five!
Acure Organics Purifying Fruit Peel is a great at-home face peel. For starters, it’s waaaay cheaper than going to the spa. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t leave my sensitive skin looking an awful red the way some spa peels can. The formula lightly smells of papaya, which is very soothing. After five minutes, my skin feels so soft and lightly smells of fruit!
I haven’t used the Vasanti® Eye Wonder 2.0 Super Powered Eye Cream long enough to know how far it will go to reduce my dark eye circles, but I am hopeful. The formula is very concentrated and powerful — which I accidentally learned after putting some in my eye (ouch!). The formula absorbs easily and sits well under eye make up (in my case, a corrector and concealer). Another product where a tiny bit goes a long way, so I think I’ll have a good idea of its effectiveness by the time I finish the sample.
I am in between hairstyles and have just been blow-drying my hair straight the last couple of days. Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry has been great! I apply a nickel-sized amount into my hair before blowdrying and my hair is soft and shiny after use, without feeling weighed down. A great multitasking hair product!
I have tried The Beauty Crop PBJ Smoothie Stick before and have generally liked the formula, but I really like the hue of this sample — Saucy Marsala! First of all, the formula goes on smoothly, and has great pigment and stay power. When I want a more diluted color, I apply over a clear lip balm or gloss. The stick makes it easy to line your lips and then fill in the color. I was pleasantly surprised with the color in the sample. It’s a brownish-wine red. Since its a relatively muted red, its great for daytime. It also smells great!
CLEAN Reserve Amber Saffron Eau de Parfum is warm and earthy, floral and musky. It strikes a romantic note, but is perfect for anytime of the day, anytime of year!
